Fresno City Opens the Tournament Season With a Win

California Community College wrestling programs are showing signs of a full recovery from the Covid pandemic. More than a handful of programs were struggling to maintain viable participation numbers. Slowly the numbers began to improve and the 2024 Sac City tournament provided proof of a strengthened wrestling community.
Fresno City were the clear favorites to take home the team championship and they did not disappoint. The remainder of the top five team scores provided some surprises and a peek at some power shifts within the conferences.

3 – 146.0 – Cuesta College, San Luis Obispo, CA
4 – 136.5 – Santa Rosa Junior College, Santa Rosa, CA
5 – 136.0 – Sacramento City College, Sacramento, CA
These results will be put to the test at the Lemoore College Invitational on Sept. 28th. All the powers that be will assemble for this early season battle of the best.
