More Changes for the Team USA Greco Squad

Last minute changes for the Team USA Greco squad competing this week at the 2022 Senior World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

Sammy Jones, competing at 63kg (Greco) will be replacing Jesse Thielke (U.S. Army WCAP). Jones lost two hard fought matches at Final X Stillwater, 4-4 and 2-3 to Thielke.

Spencer Woods replaces Ben Provisor (New York AC). Provisor won decisively in Stillwater, besting Woods 8-0 and 5-3 to secure his spot on the World team at 82kg (Greco).

Both Jones and Woods will begin their World Championship quest on Sunday September 11th with the qualification rounds.

These changes follow the surprise retirement of Tracy Hancock at 97kg (Greco)
